Ratties to adopt out - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page
Neo Geshel
Welcome from the land of the burning cities! (Kelowna, British Columbia,
Canada). If anyone is confused as to that reference, we've just
undergone the largest single civilian evacuation in Canadian history
(30,000 ppl; 1/4 of our city's population!) to combat one of the largest
rural wildfires in Canadian history (20,000+ hectares), and lost nearly
250 homes in the process. All in all, quite the traumatic event.

On to business. I have four adolescent ratties to adopt out. All are
brown with white bellies, and are estimated to be about five to six
weeks old. All are hand tame, although they are skittish to all sudden
noises, not just loud ones. They will gladly approach to sniff your
hand, but do not yet come onto it by themselves. They test with teeth,
but I have yet to be nipped. Two are male and two female.

Also, I have another batch of thirteen on the way. They are currently
(as of the 25th), nine days old. No clear indication of sexual makeup
(or they are all one sex or the other... they all still look the same
down there!). I have two black with white bellies, two whites with brown
caps and splotches on their backs (incomplete hoods?) with the remainder
being brown with white bellies. One brownie is clearly a runt and may
not make it (although I am encouraging the mother to pay special
attention to it!! It had been stuffed under a bedding cloth for the
better part of a day before I had discovered it completely exhausted and
nearly lifeless). Once all the ratties are six weeks old, they will also
be up for adoption. The female may also be eligible for adoption with
the promise she never be mated again (I was told that this was her third
time inside of six months!)

Adopted ratties can go singly, but only to current rat owners. New rat
owners must adopt as same-sex pairs. I will travel to anyone in the
Central Okanagan, and may consider trips to other parts of Central B.C..

Any questions, pls post to this ng. My reply-to is a spam honeypot. Use
it only if you want your account shut down.

Thanks!
....Geshel
