Jen
Hi everyone

My new cage arrived yesterday so have just put it up and seperated the baby
boys from their mum & sisters today.

The new cage is HUGE!!! (looked much smaller in the pic on the website) but
the ratties love it. And since I am keeping 3 babies as company for Tinker
they will need the space once they're fully grown I guess. I've given them
their first ever hammocks and put new toys in the cage for them to play
with - never seen happier ratties! :o)
Will try and get a pic of the cage up on Webshots soon.

I've been racking my brain for names and have finally settled on Skye and
Willow for the 2 girls. The little boy that's been poorly will also be
staying as he is not improving as quickly as I'd hoped & I have named him
Bailey (Baileys is my favourite drink- not sure if you have it in the
US/Canada?). Unfortunately I don't have enough time to keep any more and
still look after them properly so once Bailey is fit enough I plan to get
him fixed so that he can live safely with the girls for company. I know this
isn't ideal but he will be much happier with the company and I can keep a
very close eye on his health this way too.

2 of my boys will also be off on their travels tomorrow to live with Tracey
:D
might sound strange but I'm getting really excited for the little mites! And
I'm so glad they're going to such a great home. Thanks again Tracey.

Tinker is also much better now - the virus affecting her ears has almost
completely cleared up since the baby's antibiotics in the water seem to have
given her immune system a bit of a boost. I'm sooo releived for her and this
also means that the babies are no longer at risk. Yey!!

Anyway I'll stop babbling. Bye for now

Jen

Our lot like the cat toy balls with a bell inside, i get the ones with holes
in the plastic so they can pick them up and carry them about, yes it makes
alot of noise but they enjoy it ;)

They also like playing with cat's tail especially Trinity's when she sticks
it too close to the cage lol

I've got a parrott toy hung in the cage that's a hoop made up of wooden
blocks and tufts of string (a bit difficult to describe!!) and they
absolutely love it. I also give them those little cat balls with bells in
and have another parrott toy hung in the cage with a bell at the bottom -
Bailey in particular seems to love the bells and can't walk past them
without getting distarcted by them!! :)

Those are beautiful names... and neutering Bailey is a good idea. (yep, we
have yummy Baileys) It's great of Tracey to take two of yours...
I hope Tinker will be back to her old self in no time.
