Smudge would do that in play; she'd get in her favorite spot between me and
my computer chair (after nosing my behind to make me move off her turf, of
course). Then if I moved my hand in there, then started moving it back out,
she would chase my fingers, pounce, and "bite." I was expected to return
the favor, so I'd get a couple of fingers and "bite" back.
