Re: Proven Illegal..Turn $6 into FIVE YEARS IN PRISON - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page

You gotta be dumb...
To fall for a scam like this.
What a stupid fool.

---------------------
Not only have I reported this spammer to her ISP, but I have also
faxed copies of this posting to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service
(USPIS) office having jurisdiction over her address, as well as the
USPIS offices having jurisdiction over the other four U.S. addresses in
this letter.

It is a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison, under U.S.
federal Law, to participate in this scam. And unlike most other federal
agencies, the USPIS actually does deal with small-scale crimes such as
this that occur under its jurisdiction.

I have a page at this url...

http://www.impulse.net/~thebob/Pyramid.html

...wherein I try to explain the mathematical and legal realities of
scams such as this one.

There was some intersting quote that I came across, and do not now
clearly remember. The general idea was that if you were going to commit
a federal crime, that it is a bad idea to commit a crime which involves
putting your name and address on something and sending it to large
numbers of strangers who are likely to be sufficiently annoyed by it to
turn you in.
