What species?

Carol

Hi,
We built an aviary onto our house for my 25 +- birds. I have sizes of birds
from a few finches to a Greenwing Macaw. They are all pets and I don't do
any breeding. If you would like to know any of the details of my aviary
please email me. Since this place seems to start arguments no matter how
innocent or sincere the question I don't need to discuss my aviary with
everybody.
I really do appreciate the responses to my question about red palm oil for
my CAG that just started plucking after 9 yrs. but for people to use it for
their personal forum to start swearing and arguing over things that had
nothing to do with the initial question is ludicrous.

Welcome to usenet! Keep in mind that:

1. You are not obligated to read everything posted.
2. You are not obligated to respond to anything posted.
3. Killfiles make usenet much more pleasant.

Go ahead and post your plans: people will enjoy them even if they don't
comment on them, and just ignore non-relevant responses.

Not sure about temperatures in NZ. You will need a shelter, which if made
from wood, needs to be lined with wire as they are avid chewers. I would use
nothing less than 3/4 by 3/4 14 gauge weldmesh.
I have looked for some useful pages for you. The first will be useful when
you have it all built. and the second might give you some ideas. Don't
forget to build a safety porch and place it on a solic concrete base for
ease of cleaning and to stop rats getting in.

I did a google search for 'cockatoo aviary construction' to find these and
came up with more results than I could read.

Are you using outlook express? If so, simply kilfile the troll. I did and
don't see any more of his messages. Simply click on one of his posts, then
go to 'messages',( up above the 'reply' button top left) then look down and
click on 'block sender'. POOF!!! his posts disappear :0)
