I just saw the African grey at the end, and someone had to pay a large vet
bill. Tell us what happened.

The defendant "treated" the toe of the plaintiff's bird during a grooming
session and it became infected. Moral of the story: don't treat a bird
unless you're a qualified veterinarian.

Was there anything said as to whether or not the groomer had caused any damaged
to the toenail in the first place??? IF they had injured the bird during the
groom then they might have been attempting to CYA by "treating" the nail.

That was a point of contention.

Ok, that makes "sense."

| So what?
Instead of doing the "honarable" thing and coming clean to the owner they tried
to cover it up. And I would have to presume that that just made things worse.
