introducing a female Lovebird to 2 bonded males..advice... - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page
Patricia Dumas
Hi all..

I have 2 male lovebirds (DNA sexed). They are very bonded to one
another and are 3 months old.. I am asking for advice on introducing a
tamed, female lovebird into the mix, possibly for breeding. She's a
slate violet.

I know I must watch carefully.. but, how does this sound to the
experts out there... Very Sincerely,

Pat

BAD idea.IMHO. You are going to have two males fighting for the affections
of one female, and it will get ugly. Plan on having to physically seperate
the two males, at least during breading season.

Did I mention that I think that is a bad idea? :-)
