Baje mimicking ability - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page

Hi

Before 5 years I bought a young male budgie (baje) to my young
brother. My brother couldn't completely tame him. After that, we tried
to introduce a new budgie to him but baje refused him so we accepted
his choice and let him alone in his cage. Before 1 year, I have
noticed that baje mimics the door squawk and my family's African grey
natural vocalization. Therefore, I recorded him and I discovered that
baje threw a words but a couldn't understand him. Before 1 week I took
baje from my brother to my home. I discovered that baje mimics a
canary call. In my house, I have African grey (fato) that talk up a
storm. My questions

-How can I make baje talk in clear and understandable manner (I'm
repeating babe to him in loud voice)
-Is he going to repeat some sound and words from my African grey (I
caught him repeating a sound from my African grey)
-I'm trying to tame baje (He steps in my finger for a while then he
escapes) is it going to work

Sell the bird and buy a voice recorder. You'll be much happier.
