I live in front of a busy hiway in Ontario Canada. And found 2 baby
cardinals fledging? I guess . I put them in a bird house in a tre they
came out of the parents know they are there but are not with them at
9:00pm. I am concerned on how to handle this. I could not put them on
the ground because they will be runover....I almost ran over
them...Please give me some advice..Thankyou Heather:)

There are many wildlife rescue groups in Ontario. Just do a search on
Google for wildlife rehabilitation. They will take them and raise them up.

Hi Heather..
Heather... you did a good deed.. but, cardinals do not nest in boxes..
they will die in there....so.. you must take them out of the box
asap... put them relatively close to where you found them (on the
ground as far away from the road as possible.) and their parents will
hear their mournful cries and come to get them...and feed them
Wild fledgings always look like they are in need of human help, but
they aren't. They are doing just what comes naturally in trying to
learn how to fly and all the other stuff they need to know... Our help
is rarely needed...
Good luck...
