Laurie
He seems to be responding well to the doxy. His droppings are now back to
normal consistency and color, and he's even gained weight! (Up to 33 grams
from 28)

His re-check is on Monday, and hopefully his WBC will be back down to normal
range <fingers crossed> The poor little guy has been through so much
stress lately, I feel so bad for him.

Finally! Good news! But I must have missed something while I've been
away... why is he on doxy? Is he still getting Flagyl too?

Anyway, I'm happy to hear he's on the mend, and my fingers are crossed too!

He's on Doxy because the last recheck showed his WBC even higher than the
first test, so they wanted to try a harder-hitting antibiotic. He must've
had a nasty bacterial infection going on. No more Flagyl, because that last
fecal showed no Giardia, but I'm going to ask them for one more fecal on
Monday just to be sure.

Thanks MB...he's singing up a storm the last few days and the Mac is back!

Hope you're doing ok and on the mend too dear.

Thanks Judy. We had some good news and some bad news today. The good news
is his WBC was a little lower...but still way too high. Bad news is the
Giardia is NOT gone! So I had to run home and get the tiels so they could
start another round of Flagyl. The vet suspects Psitticosis (even worse
news!) and tested Mel & Mollie...should have results back on Friday. Mac
was not tested since he's being treated as if anyways...and is showing some
progess with weigh gain, energy and appetite. But the poor guy is a little
blue and yellow pin cushion with all these injections. Doxy, Flagyl,
Immunoreglin, and no end in sight yet. But I have to say, he's really a
trooper! After about a two hour rest he was chasing M&M around and doing
the Happy Budgie Song!
