Do I understand this correctly? Your ferret had adrenal but you didn't get
treatment or meds for it and allowed it to die? Surely I have got hold of
the wrong end of the stick here.

If he just recently lost his friend,he may well be missing him.It's probably
just winter weight gain,like others mentioned.If he gets more tired than
usual,I'd get him a check up,including blood work.It couldn't hurt.
