I was just wondering what kind of food is a good choice to get. I mean by
the name brand of food. I just got my ferrets some new food. It's called
Living World Premium Ferret Food. I don't have a bag of the old food, I was
feeding them. But the company seemed to be changing, and adding some other
crunchies. That they won't eat. And it's a waist to be throwing 2 to 3
bowls out of a bag out. I mixed the new food, with the old and they piked
through it to get the new food. But realy don't want to touch the new food.
Is this new kind I got is a good quality food. Or should I be looking for
somthing els. Thanks for any ideas you can give me.

IF they're eating it, they like it. Check out some food lists for
percentages of good quality food.

Never heard of it. Sorry, I have no opinion.

We feed Mazuri, Perimum Edge Kitten Chicken and Rice or Maxiumum Kitten
chickeen and rice (Walmart)

Our fuzzies all seem perfectly happy with "Shepherd & Greene Super Premium
Ferret Food." High protein & fat content, low filler & it virtually
eliminates poop odor.

Been considering weening them onto a bit of actual meat, however. I'd be
very interested in hearing any tales or advice anyone might have regarding
such a procedure. I thought I'd start out by simply dribbling a bit of
chicken broth or beef juice on their kibble.

Celtic Ferret
Try meat scraps from your dinner first. Bits of chix, fish, beef and so on.
Try the high end canned premium cat foods and meat baby foods. Get the
small cans in case it goes to waste. Personally I like Wysong, an all
natural, no preservatives food. More than must muscle meat. If they'll eat
pinkies, mice or small rats that would be really good. They have live food
and frozen. A few will eat live mice.

Mine get tables scraps, canned kitten food, and ground up chix, bones, skin
and all as treats. Some eat it, some don't.

Mink don't imprint on food, so they eat all of the above. We're working with
them, to get them to learn to kill baby rats. If you decide to do the same,
do it in the bath tub. cuts down on the mess and places to hide the "food".
