What they don't tell you is that they don't get all of the water up
either, and that commercial steaming also soaks into the padding,
eventually causing rot and mildew/allergy problems. btw, even the pros
don't really use steam, just super-hot water. Im partial to dry foam
shampooers. They clean great, and dry in less than an hour (Electrolux
makes a great one, but it's pricey (mainly because about 25-60% of the
price goes to the salesman & manager as commissions). I figure you
should be able to find cheaper models that work just as well, and don't
soak your carpets with water).
