Hazel Update - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page
Andy
Hazel has been back to the vets today, we saw a different vet than last week
who was a lot more helpful. He seems to think the cast will be on for a
month or so (when they will do an xray) but we are on weekly visits to check
up on her progress.

She is eating and drinking normally, which is a relief, but is clearly very
unhappy about the cast. Hazel has been dragging it behind her when she is
hopping (due to the weight) which has been distressing for us to see but is
slowly getting more mobile.

I have put some pics on the webshots page (Hazel 3) and will post some more
when she settles a bit.

Thanks for all the healing vibes, Hazel appreciates them.

Andy + Lisa

Oh Andy,
she looks so cute........with her little red paw.....what a beautiful little
bunny you have....!It's a good sign that she's eating and
drinking.......yes,she definitely looks uncomfortable...but she'll get used
to it...

I badly sprained my left ankle yesterday and I'm wearing a white tensor
bandage...I feel so close to Hazel........give her a heartfelt kiss on that
adorable little grey nose.....!!
Thanks for the updated

Shan

Well, she looks ok to me as she does
have that back leg kicked out while
being on her side in a relaxed state.

But, I am sure she does not like it one
bit.

What is the nature of the break?

One month does seem a long time
for a cast but, certainly not unheard of.

It really has to do with the nature of
the break.

Actually, it looks very similar to what Zoë got. She'll get used to it...
But we'll keep the healing vibes going your way!

Poor Hazel - glad her appettite is good though. When Cartman had his bladder
stones removed he ate his first set of stitches out so he had to wear a cone on
his head. He was totally humiliated by the experience. He got over it though.
