Hi we have our first Frenchie pup who is adorable. Got him when he was 7 weeks he is now 17 weeks old. Only problem we have is his biting really and he barks at us when we reprimand him. Like he is talking back. Likes to bite on pant bottoms, shoes, and he is learning to hump ha! Also is geting to bite quite hard now on your hands if petting him.
He is a great dog when he wants to be. But the biting thing is getting to be too much. No respect. Is this normal what can we do. The more mad we get the more aggressive and bites more.
The only way I stop him is if I get down close to him and growl low like a dog, or worse case scenario bite him on his ear. As another dog would. |

| Ouch! When he tries to bite you grab his mouth and hold it for a second and tell him "no bite", while looking him in the eyes, then hold your flat palm in front of his face and say "give kisses" When he does praise him. If he continues to bite grab him by the scruff and shake lightly and tell him again "no bite", then again show your flat palm right in front of his mouth and say "give kisses". Part of the problem here is he was taking away from his litter mates to early. During those last few weeks they learn that bitting hurts plus many other important things they need to know while growing. |

| Thanks for the response. I have done what you recommend in the past. No effect, it is like a gmae where gets more frenzied. we were thinking of maybe getting a dog psychologist rather then an obidence class right now. He could also show us what we are doing wrong also. what do you think? |

| Hi! Ive had many pups and have always found using babies teething items helped eg. a teething ring bones etc. When your pup seems to be chewing something or someone tap his/her nose and offer them the teething goods or a good bone. I tried that when my staff was a puppy and it worked a treat it was just when i went out anywhere she chewed then which to this day i still dont have a tip for cause i just had to wait till she grew out of it. |
