Awesome pix, nanny - thanks so much for sharing them!! I haven't been to a
zoo since my son was a child and he's 34 now!! I guess I'm due for a

The zoos here are so much nicer than 25/30 years ago, the animals have much
more room, and lots of sand, grass and trees.

Yes, the last zoo I went to was over 20 yrs ago and it was the
San Diego Zoo and we actually left because the conditions were sooo
deplorable. Shortly afterwards it was in the news that the place was being
mismanaged and changes were made, but it's like it just left a bad taste in
my mouth. I don't go looking for things to depress me LOL, so I've stayed
away. I really should go and enjoy the experience again - I really did use
to love it!

Great pictures, Nanny! The cheetahs are my absolute favorite...even
did a research paper on them for my Environamental Biology class a few
years ago. It's been at least 20 years since Ive been to a zoo.

Nanny!!! You should've warned me there'd be baboons!! I is skeered of
