How funny! We call that piggy face at our house. I can see how that
looks like a bat, though. Too cute.

Paul E. Jamison
(The scene is the courtyard of a very exclusive boarding school. A crowd of
ferrets, dressed in fancy academic robes, are milling around and looking
into the sky. Overhead, a handsome Sable ferret, dressed in his own academic
robes - and an RCMP campaign hat - is zooming overhead on a broom.)

(Nearby, a band is set up on a stage. Sammy, a Dark-Eyed White ferret, and
Max, another Sable ferret, with his hind legs in a wheelchair device, are
playing guitar, while Skippy, another ferret, is on the drums. Max plays the
simple guitar intro while Sammy bangs out the occasional note.)

Skippy Hermione: Is that Murphy Potter up there?
Skippy Ron: Yes it is.
Snape (who looks a lot like Rudi Giuliani): Right...our new celebrity
Skippy: There's the new boy.
Skippy: Did you see his scar?
Slithern Skippy: I did. It's amazing!
Skippy Hermione: I heard he can break the sound barrier on that broom.
Slithern Skippy: Get off!
Skippy: Couldn't be!
Skippy Hermione: Yes, he can!
Skippy Ron: Murphy, you're the first first-year on the Quidditch team in
over a hundred years... that's amazing! You're the best seeker we've had in
centuries!
Slithern Skippy : Oh, dry up! He's not so big!

Sammy:
Ever since I've been at Dookwart's, I've played the Quidditch ball
Flying on my broomstick, I'd hardly ever fall
But I ain't seen nothing like him, flying over castle walls
That magically-inclined kid... SURE PLAYS A MEAN QUIDDITCH BALL!

Skippy : I've never seen anyone fly like that!
Skippy : And he's just a First Year!
Another Skippy : Must be that Murphy Potter!

Sammy:
He began as the nephew of Muggles who were mean
Living in a cupboard 'til Hagrid intervened
Now, he ain't got no parents; they were killed when he was small
That messed-up left-behind kid... SURE PLAYS A MEAN QUIDDITCH BALL!

Skippy Ron: Skippy Hermione, how can Murphy possibly see that tiny Golden
Snitch from way up there?
Skippy Hermione: It's fantastic!

Sammy:
Now he's a Quidditch Ball Wizard
He has to find the Snitch
Quidditch Ball Wizard
He's a speedy son-of-a-witch

Max: How does he stand those Muggles?
Sammy: I don't know!
Max: I don't think I could!

Sammy:
For all of his infractions, he should be expelled
His cloak's the latest fashion 'cause it's invisi-bel
Always gets away with it; even fools McGonagall
That living-on-borrowed-time kid... SURE PLAYS A MEAN QUIDDITCH BALL!

Skippy Hermione: Murphy needs to buckle down and study! How does he expect
to get through his first year breaking all those rules?

Sammy:
I thought I was
The Quaffle Chaser king
But they just handed
That Quidditch Cup to him!

Skippy Ron: Hey, Murphy, let's see what's on the third floor, shall we?
Skippy Hermione: Stop! You just can't go sneaking around the castle at
night! You'll cost Griffyndook a hundred points!
Skippy Ron: Oh, no, we won't!
Skippy Hermione: Oh, yes, you will! And that's just what Draco Malfoy
wants!!

(Passing overhead, Murphy Potter opens a large bag and showers the Hogwart's
ground - and APF - with confetti, streamers, balloons, and M&Ms (Plain,
Peanut, Ferretone, Green Chili and quite a few surprising flavors). Behind
his broom, he unfurls two banners: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ROCKY!! and GUESS WHICH
BEST-SELLER I'M READING NOW?)

Sammy:
'Round here, they call me Draco and I should be the best
Hermione's a genius, but Ron beats her at chess
Hagrid raises dragons, but Murphy tops us all
That magically-inclined kid... SURE PLAYS A MEAN QUIDDITCH BALL!

Slithern Skippy: Aw! I can't believe Slithern lost to Griffyndook!
Snape Giuliani: I'll get you, Murphy Potter! I'll get you...

Hope you have a great birthday, Rocky Boy. And, to everyone else - *DR
DEMENTO RULES!!* Stay demented!!

Great one Paul. And if you haven't guessed already we're reading The
Half-Blood Prince now. ;-) I went to T-shirthell.com last week just to see
what new and disgusting t-shirts they had and got the shock of my
life....they spoiled Half-Blood Prince! I'm so bummed. But still it's fun
trying to get to the point of spoildom.

Thank you kindly.

I'd heard about the T-shirthell.com spoiler, and I'm avoiding it. Some jerk
on a Weird Al Yankovic message board spelled out a spoiler - backwards - for
the Half-Blood Prince and I haven't been back there since.

I'm halfway through Half-Blood Prince myself. Its an easy read, I've found,
which makes sense for a young-adult book, but still interesting.

Paul E. Jamison
Thank you kindly.

There's a station that carries it here, but it's on Sunday nights at 10 PM,
dammit. I *have* found the following website, though:

http://www.themadmusicarchive.com/

which archives many of the shows in MP3 format, going back to the 70s. There
were a *lot* of demented songs that I'd never heard of. I've just gotten
through what they have of 1980.

Enjoy.

Yeah, I did a search today & I think that's one of the sites that came up. I
also found a couple of stations that webcast it. It usually always *was* on
Sun nights. Sucks, cos one of my local stations braodcasts "Flashback" on
Sun nights, too. >:-p...

glad I'm not the only one that frequents t-shirt hell too! You'd be

Yikes...must avoid the Weird Al message board as well then. Jason actually
reads to me while we have the ferrets out running around (I'm sure they
enjoy the story too). I love having a husband that was in drama! So many
different voices! ;-) I dunno...I guess I'm child at heart. ;-) We're
trying to pace ourselves though...don't want to have to wait forever for the
last book. It was hard enough waiting for Half Blood! have you tried the
Bertie Bott's every flavor beans from Jelly belly?? YUCK!
