TO KAREN POEHLEIN: I am SO sick of seeing your long, boring, retitive
descriptions of how you've been wronged and how everyone is obsessed with
you.. Me thinks she doth protest farrrr too loudly (and often too!).
You've really had MORE than your 15 minutes of fame (if this is anything
anyone would want to be famous for). We have ALL heard your stories over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and
over............and we're just plain so sick and tired of you using this
newsgroup for your own personal toilet. You contribute NOTHING to this
group except dredging up stuff that 99.999% of the people here really don't
wish to be involved with, let alone hear about. You are YESTERDAY'S NEWS!!
Please find the "OFF" button on your computer and push it. Go get a life.
Please (notice how I'm asking nicely???) take your bitching, self-centered,
self-righteous bull**** to another site. You have been asked over and over
to do that, yet you are still here. You say that you will stop when they
stop. I absolutely guarantee you that if you unsubscribe from this
newsgroup, you will not see another thing from them on this newsgroup,
because you won't be here!! DUH.........is that sooo hard to figure out?
Are you THAT starved for attention that even negative attention is better
than none? Have your psychiatric meds run out? We'll be happy to take up a
collection so you can get them refilled in hopes that you will allow this
group to return to the discussion of FERRETS - that IS what it's supposed to
be, yanno?
You may have had friends at one time - that time was BEFORE you started
shooting off your nasty mouth and marathon posting trying to defend
yourself. If these people REALLY don't mean anything to you, then why does
it matter what they think or say?????? If someone I had absolutely no
respect for called me a name (even if it was on a public forum), I would NOT
make a total ass out of my self (thus proving the accusers right) for months
and month and months afterwards, post after post after post - you just keep
rehashing the same stuff!!

THIS TO EMAIL OR ANOTHER SITE. I saw where a site has been created just
for those involved in this to hash it out between themselves..........why
can't you go there?? It doesn't get you the attention you crave? Do you
REALLY think that your run-on posts are winning you friends??? Cuz you're
sorely mistaken and I would think that even a real dullard could have
figured that out by now. Yet you keep doing it!!! May I quote my good
friend, Dr. Phil McGraw? "HOW'S THAT WORKING FOR YOU, KAREN?" Huh?
We can all see that your current and past ways of dealing with the problems
are NOT EFFECTIVE. The definiteion of insanity it to continue doing the
same thing over and over and over and expect a different result.
You are reveling in being the center of attention. However, you are
literally making the rest of us sick. Make it a project - FIND that damn
"OFF" button on the computer and use it. Go for a walk, call a friend and
go to coffee (if you have any friends left - I suspect you don't if you
treat them with as much respect as you have treated this group.)
EVERY SINGLE POST YOU MAKE just digs you deeper in your own pile of crap.

and the second time and the hundredth time too. The only person any of us
can control in this world is OURSELVES - maybe you didn't learn that?

personally accountable for ruining this group. I DON'T CARE how horribly
you've been wronged at this point (I had sympathy for you until you ruined
this group, but I have NONE now, only frustration and anger and a refusal to
let this group fall into the pit you're digging). I hope ALL other members
here will just start posting like crazy about their ferrets and just drown
your pathetic self until you go away. You don't want to talk ferrets, you
just want to bitch.
TO APF MEMBERS & LURKERS: So, here's my idea, group........everybody flood
the newsgroup with links to pictures (this is not a binary group, so host
your pix offsite and post a link to them here :-), stories you've written
about your ferrets, or stories you just have stashed in your head somewhere.
Post your duck soup recipes, post information on ADV and Adrenal Disease and
Lymphoma and how to choose a good vet, how you keep your ferret cool in the
summertime, what kinds of toys your furkids like best, bathing tips, what to
expect when sending a fuzzy thru a surgery in regards to recovery time, how
to set up a hospital cage; post the cost of various common ferret surgeries
in your area (there is a huge variation in surgeries in various parts of the
country); how to choose a good ferret vet, how about posting what foods you
use and why..........I mean absolutey FLOOD this newsgroup with information
that *newbies* come here to find - and they aren't finding it, they are
finding the ramblings of a few sick minds in combat. I hope we can all pull
together and do this. Be sure if you copy information from other sources
that you cite what source it came from and give proper credit where credit
is due. Post links to other ferret sights with good ferret informaiton -
there are a ton of them out there (everything from ferret name lists to
noises ferrets make, funny stuff and information that could be lifesaving -
and how many of us are up to date on all the new sites? I'm sure there are
many I haven't seen! Post where you think is the best place to buy supplies
for your ferrets - foods, bedding, water containers that work well and don't
make a huge mess, what is an dis not appropriate to use for ferret toys,
common ferret emergencies and when to call the vet. We just don't talk
about these things often enough for the newbies and I feel we owe it to
them - we all had to learn at one time or another and it's sooo much nicer
to learn before you lose a ferret that could have been saved 'if only I'd
known'.
What do you guys think of Oregon Ferret Club having to change their name to
"Ferret Agility Trials" because the Olympic committee was going to sue them
for using the word Olympics.....is that ridiculous or what? What games
for ferrets do clubs in your area do when you get together? Are people
commonly getting together and taking their ferrets with them - and if you do
that, how can you be sure your ferrets still won't be exposed to something
like giarrdia or coccidosis or other parasites, ear mites, etc. I live in
a small town and we don't have enough ferret owners here to have
get-togethers, but I'd LOVE to hear about some who go to them. I'd love to
tr;y to get a club started here, but both of my kids are unfortunately ECE
positive an dI wouldn't want to pass that along to anyone else :-( These
are the things *I* hope we can post about.
Please help me DROWN little Miss Drama Queen 2005 with ferret information
so she can see just how important she really IS to the ferret community at
large and that she will NOT ruin this newsgroup. I have a special affinity
to this newsgroup because early in my ferret owning days, this was my only
access to advice from other ferret owners/.rescue folks and they literally
saved the life of my little Turnip boy (rescued from pet store and wasn't
expected to live thru the night, but he lived 3-1/2 years and was sooo happy
and brought so much JOY into our home!!)- because they were talking ferrets,
not squabbling like third graders in the schoolyard.
KAREN: Call that shrink and make an appointment and get your meds checked,
changed or refilled. Obviously what you' HAVE been doing really is NOT
working for you and it is just insane to continue down this road and take
this group down with you. If you continue in your apparent determination
to ruin this newsgroup, you will find that you really haven't exchanged
words with the worst of them YET. Trust me, you don' t want to piss me off
any more than you already have. No one here has seen me really pissed -
yet. Just keep pushin and maybe you'll get that opportunity. I *will*
DEFEND this group and do everything in my power to keep it ferret related.
Even off-topic posts about what's going on in other members lives - like
John, how are you doing? Some oldies never post anymore? Russell? I
really miss the quality folks that used to inhabit this group! There are
soo many people here that I've grown to care about over the years and I miss
hearing about their little ones and what's going on in their lives!! I
think people hesitate to tell a cute ferret story or ask for help and
guidance with a new ferret while the person is standing knee deep in
horse****. Let's CLEAN HOUSE y'all!!!

Please tell me you're kidding. Wasn't there a documentary film a few
years back called "Animalypics?" Maybe the OFC can call them
"Ferrolympics" or "Mustalympics" or something along those lines. You'd
think the IOC would have more important things to worry about.

There's a line in a cynical movie ("Love Stinks") where a lawyer says
"The great thing about the US is you can sue anybody for anything!"
Guess the screenwriters had a point.
Not a lawyer but a little surprised "Olympic(s)" can be trademarked.
It's an adjective referring to a legendary/fictional Mt. Olympus fer
cryin' out loud. What are those USOC boneheads thinking? I reckon if
they ever get challenged they'll have trouble defending themselves.
