Well I know it is a pretty lousy lowdown thing to not let your friends
know you within days of their arrival you had 3 postive ferrets you had
to put down. I know what much about it. What else would you like to

Ya know Barb, you and I have talked a few times and you by yourself
without the SlimeSisters, I didn't think you were half bad, I could
have even had respect for you. I heard some pretty bad stuff about
your shelter but I would have took all that with a grain of salt and
considered the source it was coming from. I don't always accept what I
am told, I tend to be kinda stuborn about that, a lot of the time I
have to see it with my own two eyes or it has to come from someone I
respect totally and completely. BUT ya know, now I really don't care
what happens. I have been asking you people for 18 long months to
leave me alone, JUST LEAVE ME ALONE but you couldn't do it. Whatever
the fallout is from all this, wear it proudly, you all have worked very
hard for it. It could have all been stopped way back there but I don't
see any way of stopping it now, too much has happened, too many wheels
are in motion. You all have to have someone to pick on to torment, to
lie about, to take out all your little frustrations on. Yeah Barb at
one time I thought maybe you weren't too bad away from the others but
you are no different, you do all yours from behind the scenes. You all
have kept on and kept on me and now, I have nothing else to loose, can
you say the same?? Can the others say the same?? I had a very simple
request, leave me alone, stop all the BS not only just here but on
other boards and no one could stop. Well there are things in motion
now that I can't stop either. Sorry but I asked and was ignored.

Why Barb, same question I have been asking for 18 months, why couldn't
you all just leave me alone?? I have told you, I have nothing left to
loose, your Sisters in Slime made sure of that but can you say the same
thing?? I may go down but I am NOT going down alone. Instead of you
all puttting your heads together coming up with new ways to lie about
me and torment me, maybe you should have been putting your heads
together and realizing what you stand to loose by refusing to stop what
you were doing.
Barb do you remember what you told me about giving up my birds?? You
told me if I rehomed my birds you would do everything you could do to
destroy me and my bedding business. Woman, I have histoplasmosis from
my birds, look it up. I loved my birds dearly and that hurt me a lot
to have to give them up but I had to make a choice.
At the time I said to you why would you want me to keep these birds
that I can no longer spend any time with, I can't be with them like I
used to, why not let them go to a better home than I can provide for
them. And you told me again, you rehome those birds I will do
everything I can to destory you and your bedding business. Well I
guess you carried through on your threat, you and your SlimeSisters.
Barb, the things you all have told on me, the lies, the ugly things you
have accused me of........ think about it, it was so unfair, I never
did a thing to any of you to deserve this, not one thing.
And if you can't take in all those ferrets next year or the year
following, don't come looking for me to blame, you all did it to
yourselves. I have asked each of you to stop, I have begged you all to
stop, I have pleaded with you to stop, just stop all this and leave me
alone. Well I think it is a bit late for you or any of the others to
ask me why. You all know why.
Why should I show you or any of the others an ounce of sympathy at how
all this turns out when all I asked for was to be left alone?? So
simple Barb, just one little request, to be left alone and all of you
stop what you were doing to me and you refused. Maybe now you will get
just a small taste of what I have been living for 18 months.
You say you love your ferrets so much and you love what you are doing
well Barb so do I but did that stop you all from doing to me what you
have been doing?? Not for a second. I love my ferrets and I have
worked my tail off taking care of them, making it possible for them to
have their surgeries, trying desperately to undo the damage from
neglectful former owners, I am sure you have seen the same thing in
ferrets coming into your shelter but none of you would give me a break,
when I pleaded for you all to stop, you just turned it up more. It is
way past time for any of you to ask me why I am doing what I am doing,
you should have maybe questioned your motives about 17 months ago.
When I have something I love, I do my best to take care of that and not
do anything that would cause me to loose it.

I never said any such thing. The only choice I'm aware of that you
were faced with, re: your birds, was to quit smoking. You opted to get
rid of your birds.

and had already been buh byes. You're delusional. We spoke after the
birds were gone, and NEVER have/had I ever made any threats to you.

As far as opening any doors Barb, my door has been wide open for 18
months for us to all call a truce and stop this. There is no need for
all this hurt to be slung around on everyone. None of us are going to

Someone I was talking to this morning, I was briefed just a little on
something about to happen and I was asked to come in on it. At first I
balked, I didn't feel comfortable about doing it and then I was
reminded when have any of you ever took my feelings into consideration,
when have any of you ever drew a line and said NO I won't do that??
NEVER Barb, that is when. Therefore I have no qualms about what I will
be taking part in. I have never asked you all for a thing except to

I'm afraid I need to correct you here Barb. Yes, she did tell the tale
about supposed COPD and her refusal to quit smoking, however the birds
were actually sold to raise cash to fund surgeries for two of her
ferrets. Once the birds were sold though she chose to use the cash to
make a trip to Walmart to buy bedding materials.

Hey pop-tart, do you remember that e-mail you sent out regarding
Murph's kittens? You know, the one that proves you have been lying all
along about why you aborted them. Guess what? You mentioned your birds
in that e-mail too. Yep, you surely did. You mentioned that "someone"
had said they would do all they could to hurt you if you sold them.

So, in all seriousness... what is this ADV thing you guys are talking
about? I have honestly never heard of it. When I saw the initials
ADV, I assumed it was a link to the common Adrenal Disease so I've
never looked into it since I have read up on Adrenal issues... but now
that it appears to be a completely different sickness, I would truly
like to learn more about it.

for the birds only surfaced after you were chastised for gleefully
posting about using the money you got for them to buy more bedding
supplies rather then the ferrets surgeries.

Barb, her repeated refusal (or inability) to answer your question IS
her answer. She knows nothing about ADV, as is obvious by her posts
about the 3 ADV positive ferrets. She doesn't even understand enough
to know her own posts prove that you did everything possible to make
sure that they were actually positive AND to protect the other shelter
ferrets. It's hilarious that she doesn't even realize she's proving
how conscientious you are!

McCabe what does your email prove?? IT PROVES NOTHING!! The only
thing it proves is exactly what I was saying, I didn't mention her by
name but I clearly stated someone was threatening me if I rehomed my
birds she would go after me.
McCabe apparently you don't know much about the larger birds. Of the 4
birds I had, 2 of them were very large cockatoos and a smaller Goffin
'Too, they are extremely highstrung birds. The last thing I wanted to
see happen with them was that they began to pluck feathers or go
further and begin mutulating themselves which these birds will do when
stressed. I could not be with them all the time like I used to be,
John couldn't do anything with them, he was scared of Lou and Lou was a
Mullican 'Too, Simon was an Umbrealla 'Too and he sent John to the
emergency room TWICE. I was so sick and doc kept insisting I get them
completely out of my house, not just off in another room, but totally
and completely out of my house. If you cannot understand that I was
doing the best thing for all involved, me, John, AND the birds then you
are NOT much of an animal lover. I knew I could NO longer give these
birds what they needed. I freely admitted I knew I was not doing right
by them, it wasn't my fault I was sick but to hang on to these birds
when they were not getting enough out-of-cage-time and the attention
they were used to getting, it was very unfair to them.
Tell something McCabe, exactly how long have you been hanging on to
that email?? lol lol Geeze woman, this just goes to prove my point
even stronger, you all are SOOOOOOOOO obsessed about me and everything
I do, you even hang on to old emails. lol lol If it wasn't you all, I
might feel flattered. I mean when I lived away mom kept all my letters
home but that was my mom and honey, my mommie you ain't.

All I can say about that McCabe is any friend who ever emailed you adn
told you something like that had to be none other than Deb Godwin. You
do remember Deb don't you?? The mental case who faked her own death,
she killed off one of her husbands, pretended to have a son who didn't
really exist??? YOU KNOW YOUR GOOD FRIEND DEB GODWIN. She faked her

You tell me where you all have ever stopped. Leah comes back from
vacation on Friday and it all erupts again. It had been fairly quiet
while she was gone. You all started it all back up again with your
DEATH POOL taking bets on how long I would have JackPot and Buster
before killing them.
IF and that is a big stretch, if you all were such ferret lovers as you
claim and if you were certain in your hearts that I was killing my
ferrets, then I think it would say a lot about you all for not turning
me in to the authorities. Could it be because you know you could get
into trouble for making false reports?? If you thought for a minute
there was any truth to what you were saying, you would be duty-bound to
contacting someone.
Barb Clay had no trouble calling Cathy W. the county clerk once and
then lying about what a wonderful conversation they had and all about
the call. Barb must have been drunk that day as well, if they had such
a wonderful conversation, why did she have Cathy's name so screwed up??
lol lol I called Cathy myself, I know her personally, not all that
well but I do know the woman and when I called her she said Barb was
crying to her about some mickey-mouse stuff and from what I gathered
Cathy saw her a nutcase calling all the way to Indiana and bothering
her with it all. She told her to call the prosecutor and when I called
them, no report of a Barb Clay calling them. lol lol

Neither McCabe, what we were discussing last night had absolutely
NOTHING to do with MDs from India and their dictating skills yet she
comes off with that. Normally, and this is with most folks, well the
sober ones that is, when having a discussion, you generally try to
follow a pattern, you tend to follow along the direction the
conversation of flowing. Now if you and I were discussing oh say
cooking and I asked you when was the last time you bought a new pair of
shoes you would look at me and go HUH. Basically what I did when Barb
got all tangled up, well that and a few other little red flags. lol
lol I guess the dear old gal finally took my advise and went to bed,

Funny thing is I was at the shelter all day and night Sunday. Myself
and a good friend transported 3 kits from NJ to Rocky's to go on to
thier forever homes in South Dakota. I didn't leave Rocky's untill
1045pm and this thread was started at 1107pm. Barb wasn't drunk!!!

Avoiding the personal stuff, you made the right decision, imo. ADV is
currently unbeatable, and a death sentence for a ferret shelter. Maybe

Barb has shown so much restraint during the past few months rants. She
never came on here to defend herself against all the groundless
accusations. She never fought back, and very rarely posted period and
yet, Karen keeps listing Barb as one of the people persecuting her.
Look over the last 6 months posts and you'll see where Barb and Rocky's
is attacked, but she never does the attacking. Even if I didn't know
Barb, I'd have great respect for her restraint.
