They smell quite stinky. Its a mix of cat pee, perm and something I
can't quite identify. It's babystink. Yuck. They outgrow that stink
as they start eating more than nursing.
By the time their eyes are open, ~6 weeks, that baby death aroma is
gone, thank goodness.

I remember that kit-stink...it's nicer when they get to eating solids.

Aww, they are adorable. I've never had the pleasure of seeing a baby
that young in person. Are the Jills very protective? Do they
generally tolerate your handling of the kits?

These babies mom is very laid back. Her mother on the other hand, was a
complete psychomom. We jokingly called her SMOTHER as she guarded those
babies up till they were 9 weeks old. It was very difficult to clean
their cage, and handle the babies without being attacked by mom.
Thankfully, her daughter is very easy going and doesn't mind me moving
them around to clean their cage or interact with them or to feed them.
