Tried to feed him. Everything was good last night and than he was a little
mouthy when i picked him up. his lymph node was 3 times or more the size. so
i gave him some pedialyte and than some food and he didnt want the food.
gums went white, i assume he had a cardiac arrest. anyway, he fought long
and hard and so did i. what a sad day. the dam mystery disease. she said
about 1 out of 50 sick ferrets is being diagnosed as that. i am not sure it
to be true but i am waiting for them to research. they wanted to take some
more tissue but i had said no because it was already contaminated with meds,
so they agreed. now he can be with wilson and jimmy.

Brian,
I'm so sorry for your loss. From your posts over the last few weeks
I know you did your best to bring Buster back to good health. I'm sure
he knew as well and was trying to hang on for you. You did your best
and now is the the time for you to grieve but don't dwell on the
negative aspects of what you've been through. Remember the good times
you and Buster had. You and Buster are in my thoughts and prayers.
Be Well,
Pat

Brian, Buster will be with you always. You did the best you could do to help
him.
Sometimes, all we can do is hold them close until they are ready to go.
It's very hard, I'm sure you know that.
Hugs from me, and email me whenever you need to. I am here for you.

Sorry to hear it, Brian. You did your best by him and that's all
anyone or any animal can ask. Let's hope this "mstery disease" gets a
more descriptive name and effective treatment soon.

thanks swamp..... i hope so. by the time i got him to the vet his node went
down somewhat as we suspected a vein was going thru there. so the lack of
blood made the mass smaller. She said I did more than most would and that
she heard of other things from fhl, but didn't know at the time .
thanks

Brian you are truly a GOD among men.
I followed your problems and felt a kinship because I lost two ratties in
one week.
I hoped for the best with you. I cried with you as I am now.
You tried so hard for that little guy !!!!!
You have a permenent parking spot in heaven.
My next male any animal will be named BRIAN in your honor.
You always go the extra mile for your animals.
