American Ferrets
Do you ****slingers think you are funny?
Which one of you is Dee Ferret?
I was willing to bury the hatchet so to speak, let it lie, leave it
alone....
BUT NO!!! You all just have to keep up your immature, juvenile,
assinine BULL****.
I'd like to bury the freakin hatchet in each and every one of your tiny
little skulls, including you Lisa [I like to screw other guys while my
husband watches] Loogie, Millturd the Millworm, Ruth the degenerate
klutz and all the rest of you ****slingers.
Okay...fine!
This is how we're going to play the game.
You round up your small-minded group of beer swillin, pill poppin,
scumbags
and we'll just see how well you do against my ARMY of 500+.
If you don't like the rules or the game gets too tough...suck it up.
You're in the big leagues now ****heads!!

Amen Sharon.

American Ferrets
At least I know an AMEN!! when I see one!
these assholes wouldn't know an amen if it bit them in their beer
swilling, pill popping, collective fat asses. [thank you Cap]

myopinions@gmail.com
Lady (and I use the term loosely), you really need to get your meds
adjusted.

Sandy and the Dook City Gang
Amen!

American Ferrets
Do I?
So, I guess medication is the solution to every problem?
How would you feel if you spent the last 12 months dealing with Stage 3
cancer, having surgeries and treatments, spending 3 months in bed,
pouring your heart and sole into writing a book, finding a publisher,
getting your book published and on the market, just to have one of
these assholes write an extremely negative book review about a book
they haven't read....simply because it was written by me.
You tell me what's fair about that...then maybe we'll discuss what meds
you think I should be on.

gator524@gmail.com
Maybe you need to find out who wrote the negative review before you
make such assumptions and accusations.

Your medical problems certainly explain a lot. I'm sorry you're going
through them. But, it doesn't give you the right to blame every bad
thing in your life on a group of people. I don't know who wrote that,
and you don't either.

Oh, someone hand me a friggen violin!!!

Let's talk about perseverence. Let's talk about Jean at Ferrets Unlimited. 2
yrs ago, Jean had stage 3 cancer - a pinapple-sized tumor in her left thigh.
She had several major surgeries, dying on the table during one of them
(brought back, of course - dead people can't post).

The whole time, she *continued* to run her shelter. She still is doing so.

And all you've done is write a book that your publisher won't even print
until enough people order it? Oh, poor overworked & underappreciated baby!

Pleeeeeease!!

SCgal
Stage 4 cancer, as stated in the Ohio trip thread. HERE, HERE! Jean IS
wonderful and runs a wonderful shelter. Ferrets Unlimited!

American Ferrets
So now it's a contest of who had the worst case of cancer?
You people are un-freakin-believeable

Maybe, one day, you can be diagnosed with a stage 3 or 4 cancer...then
email me and tell me how wonderful life is and how happy you are to
have the opportunity to battle a life threatening illness.

American Ferrets
You have no idea how frightening it is to sit in the Doctor's office
and here him say, "I'd like to recommend an Oncologist"
You have no idea how it feels to have surgery scheduled to remove
organs.
You have no idea how difficult it is to go home after surgery with
drains and tubes coming out of your body.
You have no idea what it feels like when a tumor is removed.
You have no idea of how bad it feels to see the looks of pity on
people's faces when you say "I have cancer."
You have no idea how painful it is for your mother, father, sister,
brother, children or spouse to watch your pain and suffering.
You have no idea of the level of pain that is involved.
You have no idea of how long 80 days really is until you have to spend
those 80 days in your bed because you are too sick and in too much pain
to try to move.
You have no idea how hard it is to be a cancer patient and have to
watch a loved one die from cancer, listening to her say "Well, if one
of us has to die, I want it to be me"
And she DID die.
You have no idea, and for your sake, I hope you never do.
This devastated my life, and I would not wish it on even my worst
enemy.
It is NEVER about whose cancer is worse.
Cancer sucks.
Sharon LaCouture

American Ferrets
Hand you a violin??
Give me a break!
How petty and condescending and small-minded ARE you?
I cannot believe that somewhere in your tiny little mind you thought it
would be okay to EVEN write a post like that!

All I did was write a book?
No! All I did [so far] is battle CANCER!!
You are ignorant.

BTW and FYI
My book is printed when ordered because I could not afford to pay a
publishing house thousands of dollars up front to print 1000's of
copies.

What have you done that's even noteworthy?

Nice. Been there. Done that. I, for one, don't wish it on other people,
unlike you.

You just did.

Since I've been out of town (Chicago) for a few days, *&* since you didn't
bother to refer to which post you're answering, I'm going to make the wild
assumption you're talking to me.

Judging by what you're written in so many of these threads, no more petty &
condescending & small-minded than you are.

You were looking for attention; you got it.

That made no sense.

And you picked a "publisher" w/ a crap reputation.

Marquis' Publicatations, for my work in the Dance Education field:
- Who's Who in Entertainment.
- Who's Who in the Midwest.
- Who's Who Among American Women.
- Who's Who in America.

No, I don't remember which editions (excpet "Entertainment", which was 1st &
2nd). I'd have to go downstairs & get the books down. I can do that later,
if you really *want* me to.

Ran my own successful business (a very well-known dance studio in my area)
for many yrs. No, I don't do it anymore. I sold it, cos I have Multiple
Sclerosis - which doesn't go away w/ chemo, surgery, or radiation. I'll have
it until I die.

However, now I teach on the college level. The class is about 75% lecturing,
though, so it's easier than dancing 8 hrs a day.

I belong to Mensa; which only means that I have a high IQ, & *that* only
means I have a greater capacity for learning than most people.

I speak a few languages, some of which are admittedly rusty cos I don't use
them that much. English, Russian, & ASL are the ones I use most of the time.
My German & French are a little wasted right now.

(I suppose I *could* add that one of my cousins holds the oldest existing
Earldom in England, & that my family was written about by William
Shakespeare, but that's not *my* doing, so I can't take credit for it.)

All of those things pale, though, when compared to me & my husband's 2 kids.
Not ours genetically - we adopted them from Kazakhstan about 1.5 yrs ago.
They're still thoroughly & completely my kids, though, we love them to
pieces, & that's all that matters.

Hmmm.....I'm sure there are other things I could mention (like my straight
4.0 in Psychology, my admission to grad school to get my PhD in Clinical
Psych....which I gave up to open my dance studio, cos I wanted to be happy
*right away*), but since I don't really dwell on how great I think I am
(like you apparently do), I can't tell you anything else off the top of my
head.

Hope this answers your question.

Don't give up on stem cell, Lin. If the more clinical minds in DC
prevail there might be treatments in the next 20 years. Maybe 10...

Oh yeah, on topic...

Punch and Zeke (ferrets) killed the cilantro last night. I knew that
cilantro wasn't toxic to ferrets, but never contemplated the reverse.

They must've *hated* that cilantro,

I don't know. I'm not putting any hope in stem cell for *my* generation.
Could it work? Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. But our gov't is so bunged up
about the whole thing, who knows. I'm not dwelling on it though. Right now,
the best thing goin is the alpha & beta interferon injectables (I've been on
Betaseron for about 11 yrs or so now, since not long after the FDA pushed it
through), & those exist NOW. And they mostly work. My last major relapse was
9 yrs ago (lasted 4 mos), but although I still get the occasional wiggles &
wobbles, it's nothing like it was. Still, I see my friend Michelle, who 10
yrs ago was in the same shape I was at that time, but who now can only do 3
things - chew, breathe, & (w/ great difficulty) talk. And she was on Beta at
the time she got worse. That secondary progressive form (think Annette
Funicello, or Richard Pryor) can jump yer bones w/ no warning. Not worth
dwelling on *that*, though, either. My view is, cheer up, it may never
happen! :-D
