My daughter-in-law asked about this. Any opinions for Budgies or Linnies?

Palm Fruit & Oil

* Delicious dietary supplement rich in antioxidants, Vitamin A, and
Vitamin E
* Beneficial fatty acids and oils help beautify plumage
* Choose creamed Palm Fruit or 100% Red Palm Oil

In the wild, palm is a dietary staple, naturally rich in antioxidants,
Vitamin A (in the form of beta-carotene), and Vitamin E. Provides beneficial
fatty acids and oils to help enhance plumage. May aid in breeding and reduce
feather plucking, and is a great supplement to any bird's diet. Choose
Creamed Palm Fruit (28 ounce jar) or 100% Red Palm Oil (32 ounce bottle).

I got given a jar to try once. Not one of my birds liked it, not even the
greys which are supposed to go mad for it. I ended up throwing the wjole jar
away.

I use to buy the Palm Fruit for my AG and she liked it.
No such luck with the Palm oil. I'd still buy it, but the place I got
it from was bought by Dr. Foster and Smith who discontinued carrying
it.

I bought some and my birds wouldn't touch it.

You *could* feed it to budgies, but they don't eat it in the wild. (on the
other hand they don't eat yams or carrots or canary seed in the wild,
either). Personally I prefer Budgie Butter, which is made from Eucaluyptus,
which budgies DO eat in the wild. http://www.budgieworld.net/
