I would like to know if anyone has used this product or has an opinion on
it.

Missing Link for Birds, 3.5 oz
Targets the gap between nature and commercial feed. All-natural, no
artificial fillers, colors, flavors or preservatives.
Missing Link is a granular powder that is easily sprinkled on your animal's
regular food daily, according to its weight. As with any high fiber product,
start with small amounts and gradually increase to the recommended level
over a week or two. Some animals may benefit even more if their Missing Link
is doubled for the first 90 days following the adjustment period. The daily
intake can be divided into two or more servings if desired. Your animal will
love the taste and you'll love the results! Refrigerate after opening.
Ingredients: flax seed, soy protein isolate, blackstrap molasses, freeze
dried liver, whey protein concentrate, freeze dried black eyed peas, freeze
dried pinto beans, rice bran, dried carrot, dehydrated alfalfa, apple,
primary dried yeast, freeze dried bone, fish meal, cherry, hesperidin, b.
laterosporus, broccoli, parsley, sprouted green barley, lecithin, spirulina,
dried kelp and yucca schidigera extract.

3.5 ounces is approximately a 2-month supply for an average size bird.

That gap is why we feed fresh foods to our birds in addition to the
commercially made stuff or even instead of it.

Plus, claiming that it fills the gap is an outright lie because the
nutritional needs of any given species can be significantly different
than another species. Which doesn't even get into the fact that we
really only have a vague idea of what any birds nutritional needs are.

It's just another commercial product.

Thanks for the feedback.

My little boy Budgie ate his veggies for the first time today. I just kept
trying and after six weeks he ate his first fresh food.

I haven't used their main product, but I have used their cooked bonemeal
with breeding softbills. We got good results (ie, strong eggshells and
babies), but as we were also using straight calcium carbonate and a good
vitamin supplement I'm not sure if it was just the bonemeal that did it.
Personally, for a budgie, I prefer Budgie Butter.
http://www.budgieworld.net/ I've been using the Parrot Pesto with my
cockatiels and turquosine parakeet, and already have noticed an improvement
in my Old Geezer Bird's skin and joints.
