I just saw an ad on TV for a pet grooming product that I thought might be of
interest to some people. I'm not sure if it would work on bunnies, but I
don't see why not. It hooks up to a vacuum cleaner that can be in another
room, reducing scary noises. The link is Canadian, but maybe someone has
seen this advertised elsewhere?

I haven't seen that but mine and the kids new favorite grooming tool is
the "zoom groom" made by Kong. It's made out of a soft plastic or
silicone, not sure which. It was about $6 and purchased upon the
recommendation of a friend. So it's shaped like a cat, but it got tons
of fur out of Gryf durring his last molt. It gets amazing amounts of
loose fur out anytime. The absolute best part was the Gry my brush
grabber and tosser, never tried to take it away from me, throw it and
then bolt to the safety of under the sofa as he has done with everyother
grooming tool I've purchased.

Wow ... This looks great. I've tried using the vacumn but the noise makes
them bolt. I may give it a try.
To order it in the US:
http://www.1seenontvstore.com/pet-buddy.html
It's $29.95 + $9.95 shipping but would be well worth it if it gets rid of
even 50% of the floating fur. Also would take the worry out of them
swallowing so much hair. The thing that impresses me is that it can be used
with one hand leaving the other free for the bunny.
