Cavalier King Charles behaviour problems - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page

Hi,
Our Cavalier King Charles (7 months old, ruby male, unneutered) is showing some signs we're a little worried about. He is generally very happy and playful, but lately he doesn't seem to 'like' our 3 kids (2,3 and 5), who are very good with him. He has been possessive of his toys and bones, and frowning growling and biting when stroked by the kids. He never bites me (the daddy of the family!) and treats my wife very much as a mother figure. He is very nervous when he encounters strangers (either in the home or out on a walk). We really, really don't want to have to give him back but what do we do next? Is this a common problem? What advice can you give? We are worried because there are kids visiting our own kids quite often and we don't want to end up in court!!!
Thanks a lot,
Chris & family, Belfast, Northern Ireland
