White Zebra Finches - Genetics - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page
Denis Coleman
Hi,

i have a white zebra finch and was hoping someone could inform me of what
the genetic trait is for a white zebra that has a pink beak when a baby. i
have also heard there is a white zebra that has a black beak when a baby.
does anyone know what the genetics are for these two breeds of white
zebra's.

is it recessive, sex linked or normal gene.

is there a good book around that lists the gene's (breeds) for zebra's.

thanks Denis

black beak = young bird.

Denis Coleman
but my young birds have pink beaks, not black beaks, therefore i thought
different genetic line.
