Hi
I have a 8month old Alaskan Malamute who has recently decided to start marking/peeing where ever he goes! its really embarassing does it in peoples houses,shops cars... and doesent make sence as hes been house trained for over 3 months now!! anyone know how to corect this behaviour?????? and finally......he also growls at people when there strocking him or giving him attension his teeth dont appear and his tail stays up but its still a worry any ideas?????
all help will be greatly apreciated by myself and friends as i havent stoped moaning and worrying! |

A few questions:
Is he neutered?
If not are you planning on having him neutered?
Is he sniffing areas prior to peeing?
Any chance he has a bladder infection? (I dont think he does from what you say so dont worry, just looking for a little more information).
Have you started any type of obedience training with him?
Any other dogs in the house?
Are there specific people or types of people he is growling at, i.e. men, women, kids. etc?

Hi
Well hes not neutered & im not really planning on having him done,brother won best of breed at crufts. Im planning to show him and breed him in the future. He is sniffing places prior to peeing he goes as far as peeing on bugies with babies in them!! i dont really tell him off but simply corect him which doesnt see to be working! it seems to happen whenever we go somewhere new or he comes across something new. I checked for a bladder infection and the test came back negative. He hasnt soiled in over 3months in the house or my place at work. I started obedience training at 11 weeks old and am contiuing doing so. We have no other dogs in the house just 3 cats and 2 buggies. he was more than fine with people with no growling incedents what so ever until 2 weeks ago and since then he growls at men or women when being stroked or spoken to but not at kids!!! He doesnt growl at me or my partner or neigbours but anyone hes never seen before is guarantted a growl!!
Thanks for replying i hope these answer your questions. Im really hoping to get these problems resolved him growling scares people and with his wolf look makes it even worse little do they know hes a big softy!!!
