hi, my 10 mos old boston loves 'stuffies' ~ love to play fetch with them and chews them... but most of all she loves to tear them apart to eat the cotton!!!! does anyone else have a dog that does this.. and what were they told...?
Froggy
hello again.
Dont let him eat it, it 'can' cause an intestinal blockage, whenever my dogs have ripped the toys open I throw them away. Have you tried things like Kong toys, or Gumabone/Nylabone, look for the ones that say 'biodegradable' then if they do bite any pieces off and swallow them it should gradually break down in the gut and avoid blockages.

One of my dogs used to love his soft toys and he'd pull the stuffing out and spit it out, it was more like he just liked gnawing on the material.

froggy, when ever she does rip them open i do throw them away... and i never leave her in the kennel with anything chewable... i have bought her expensive doggy stuffies ~ and within minutes has ripped them apart so now i have a few older stuffies from my daughter... i have given the pup bones and balls... the bones and raw hide will last a few days, weeks, but the balls.... again she rippes them apart... there are a few limited items to give her... i even have some old socks my hubby doesnt want and i have tied a knot in them for her to chew... she seems to like soft items at times... the dog ropes...?.... she undoes them and eats the strings...?... she is strange.....and a puppy...
:)
thanks
