I think I found the ultimate ferret toy. Its a little toy stuffed bird,
with feathers and a fake tail, suspended from a cord at the end of a short
stick. I got it at Petco in the cat toy section. Our Bacchus goes crazy
over it, leaping up in the air to catch it then biting it like it was a real
bird. Then he tries to drag it under the couch or behind the entertainment
center where he can "eat" it in peace. It gets so intense, we only let him
play with it for about 5 min or so at a time. After we put it away, he's
hyper-excited and runs around the house leaping and jumping, looking for his
"bird". Highly recommended for playful ferrets. - CW

LOL....I can imagine. I got a long-fake bright green furred hand puppet
last week. It has a huge orange beak and big plastic eyes and a funny
squeaker in the nose. The whole thing is probably about 18" long. Drives
Gilbert crazy. It has big floppy furry wings and long lanky orange legs
that flop when I bob it up and down. I've let Gilbert "kill" it a few
times....either that or he's saving it.....I'm not sure which! He doesn't
know what to think when it 'grabs' him tho! LOL Kylie doesn't seem
interested in this little critter, but it wakes Gilbert out of a sound sleep
and he stumbles over to it and rolls around with it. LOL It was all of
$.10 at a thrift store and just like new. Amazing at the stuff that can be
a toy!
