We have a ferret who has adrenal disease and we give her melatonin about
three pm every day. this seems to help with the agressiveness.

Hmm... how do you know how much to give? Are you just guessing, or are
you following scientific information? What are you doing to fix the
adrenal problem?

That's fine to give them something to help relieve their symptoms.....but
how are you gonna cure the disease? There's only one way to do that -
removal of the offending gland.

Since you just lost *one* ferret to adrenal disease, do this guy a favor &
get him evaluated for surgery ASAP.
