Druid crossed the Rainbow Bridge - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page
Celtic Ferret
Sometime during the night, Druid the ferret, crossed the Rainbow
Bridge. He was named for the white robed priests of ancient Ireland.
He had been separated out from the ferret room and brought into the
house to be watched. He was 5 yrs old and had a balding tail. A
balding tail can be a sign of oily skin and needs to be treated like
acne, or the early signs of either adrenal and progstate cancer. His
wieght was good and he was eating on his own.

In his yonger days, Druid was a hard working education ferret, helping
to introduce the pet ferret to people at street fairs, pet fairs and
adoption days at local pet stores.

He was a big easy going boy. Like some ferrets who sleep soundly, he
suffered from the joke illness "sleeping, not dead".

Druid liked nothing better than to get in the house and play. His
favorite place to sleep was up high. He was frequently found curled up
in empty cages or an empty carrier placed on top of a 4 ft cage.

He had a thing for white. He loved to sleep in baby diapers, stole
towels, sheets, and pillow cases to make a bed. All his toys had to be
white. Most ferrets prefer the color red, followed by the colors
green, blue and yellow in no special order.

Since he was whole, it was his mission in life to "get a date" from one
of the spayed girls. He always stopped by their cage to chat up the
girls or boys.

It sounds like Druid really enjoyed life. My deepest condolences on his
passing. Wherever he is now, he's happy and is sending you his love.

Sandy and the Dook City Gang
In a place of rainbows,Druid dances and plays. He is smiling, because
he left with a heart full of love. Now a new bright star is shining in
the night sky. Watch carefully and you'll see him winking. When you
feel that unexplained warm feeling in your ear, that's him saying
hello. When you feel something brush your ankle, he stopped by to say
hi.

Such a pain in our hearts when a friend leaves our side. I am sorry
Druid is gone.
