I have 14 ferrets, 2 hand raised minks and a dog. I've been looking
for some toys and cage supplies that I couldn't find. I wanted to set
up a new cage for Kelly, our rescue bunny.
The shelves I wanted were placed up high. The toys and disappearing
bedding were stuffed in behind the bottom drawer. I blamed the
ex-roommate for taking them becuase she had taken other things.
Dan blamed Kieran and Kenyon (minks) because they like stuffed toys and
have stolen bedding to set up housekeeping around the ferret room. I
have thinks like cat condos and playhouses for them to sleep in, but
they like the dresser.
I favoried Artie (ferret) because she loves all sizes of stuffed
animals and the mink favor teeny beeny sized toys.
Minks and ferrets were probably sharing the same hidey hole. Kenyon is
good with the ferrets, but I don't know if Kieran can be trusted and an
"experiment" could cost me a ferret's life.
Gross out warning! Last paragraph
Whan Onyx and Donaovan (deceased minks) were still alive we had a
little incident with a dead mouse. Onyx liked to eat the head and
would dine on the rest later. Onyx and Donovan were out playing
together. Donovan went into Onyx' cage and took the mouse out. I find
myself playing keep away with a 3 mos old mink who thinks its too funny
to keep the mouse away from me. Like ferrets, mink have short
attention spans, and he finally dropped the mouse when he was tired of
the game with me.
