My Nyasa lovebird, Peaches, loves slices of Gala apples or Granny Smith's
but shuns Red Delicious. She adores fresh kale and celery leaves but
despises spinach or other greens. Just curious as to what your birds like.

Our Macaw will eat just about any fruit. On a daily basis he gets Banana,
Orange, and apple. He also likes Watermelon, Kiwi, grapes, just about
anything he sees us eat. The BCC is offered the same fruit daily, he
sometimes ignores it, but some times he will eat a lot of it. They both like
corn and potatoes.

My budgies love romaine lettuce, corn, broccoli, carrots, will eat
apples, love orange rind, and adore pasta. ;)
The zebra finches love romaine, the seeds of cucumber, apples, egg
yolks.

Just a reminder that this is a great time of year to pick up whole fresh
cranberries. I buy large packages and freeze them. We just ran out when
they started showing up at reduced prices this season.

They are very easy to serve because they do not need cutting.

My little artists do a splendid job on the walls as my bonus.

If you have never seen the seasons of a cranberry crop, look for them when
you are in those areas of the country where they are grown. Spring blooms
are fabulous and harvest time spectacular. Everything in between is nice
too. You'll want a new cranberry colored outfit or wall or couch.

I just made a big batch of bird bread and put a bunch of cranberries in. I
did cut them though because they are so big. Cranberries don't make near
the mess of pomegranates...poms are going to be served only outside from now
on.

Care to share the recipe for your bird bread? I just saw bags of fresh
cranberries yesterday for 50 cents each. TIA.

GACK! I don't even use instant corn bread mix for myself! Way too much
sugar. But okay, I can make my own cornbread and add cranberries if that is
all there is to it.
