I had thought if something like that might work. Getting them to hold still
for a nail filing is a joke. Thanks for the hint!

ROFLOL.......usually if you stop by your vet's office a tech is more than
happy to do this little chore, which just takes a minute or two and usually
won't even charge. When I first had ferrets, I was scared to death to cut
nails, so that's what I did for about the first year! LOL

Hoping GMA comes around soon! :-)) TEN YEARS is a loooooooong time!! I'm
surprised someone else didn't grab you up and steal you away! I sure get
a kick out of your posts! Your humor is like a breath of fresh air to the
group.......

I just bought a pair of cheap drugstore glasses with a high
magnification which resolved any problems of seeing the nsials.

I did the same thing, Kathy. Also, I notice that when I focus a very bright
light directly on the work area, these old eyes seem to be able to see a bit
better also. Made all the difference in the world for me.........

FWIW, my son clips the nails on his fuzzbutt by waiting until he is sound
asleep. Since the little devil is wakes up slowly and is very groggy for a
minute or so, its the ideal time to carefully pick up his paws and clip
those sharp little claws. Without this treatment every few weeks, Bacchus
starts to do some real damage to rugs, doors, upholstery, etc. - CW

why thank ya jumpingmouse. The sandpaper on the cellar door got old real
quick, and now he wants to jump over it soasto not have to go thru the grit
walk. He's a smart feller like all them fair-rats is, so it looks like one
of the granchillins is going to have to pay a duty visit for the clipping.
Yes 10 years is too long, but we started when we was in 5th grade and only
had each other ever. 'Course our folks thought we was just real good
friends till we was suspiciously encountered by the sherrif when we was 18.
We got married shortly after because the civil war was startin and they was
gonna cart me off to the south (where I also lernt to cook).
but anywho thank ya for your kindness of words. I been to some groups what
just all but insult yuz for even saying anything. I ain't real smart, but
I do knowd to be polite to strangers.

And Gma sed I should identify meself when I leave a note places bcuz people
ain't mind readers to know anything about me
so I'll sign meslef as

Member Board of Checkers
President Chicken Feeders and Heffer Milkers Association
Associate of Amature Ferrets Keepers
