I'm interested in trying Milk Thistle for my 4.9 kg Poodle. He's 18 mos old and has recently been diagnosed w. level of 138 ALT which is up from 128 2 months ago. He has no symptoms of any illness. All my vet is suggesting is to put him on Hill's L/D so as not to tax his liver. Given his young age, I'm not buying this. Since my vet isn't into holistics, I'm going to try the Milk Thistle. Anyone have any comments? Thank you in advance.
