not sure which thread to post this in, sorry .

Just a question about my cat. aboutt 1 and a half months ago I took one of my cats to the vet because he seemed sick. He's about 7 or 8 years old. He had been throwing up, not eating or drinking much, and was acting lethargic.

My vet put him on medication for the stomach flu. He was running a fever at the vet, but he was also very scared and that may have cause him to be upset and run a fever.

The medication seemed to help, but now he's sneezing a lot, and has thrown up 2 or 3 times in the past week. He begs for food and water all the time, but just nibbles a little bit. He doesn't really seem too lethargic, but he follows me around everywhere and has to be around me all the time.

Also, just within the past week, he doesn't seem to make it to his litter box. I have another cat about the same age, so I'm not sure if he makes it some of the time or if he doesn't make it all the time. He poops on the mat that we have lying right outside the litter box or he poops on the ramp leading into the litter box (it's an enclosed dome).

I'm just baffled at why he won't poop int he actual litter box.

I'm going to call the vet, but since it's a holiday weekend, I won't be able to get anyone until Wednesday at the earliest.

Any suggestions?
