Has anyone else seen the anti-PETA commercials on TV? I've seen a couple
and they're really blasting PETA and exposing their "real agenda." I didn't
catch who's sponsoring the commercials.

Ah.... A DC based organization funded by anonymous donors defending our
"freedoms" sponsoring a smear campaign on FOX. PETA is a load of crap but
methinks this org reeks its own brand of stink.

Without investigating too deeply:

http://www.consumerfreedom.com/main_faq.cfm

I see nothing wrong with industry speaking out to expose the radical and
violent behavior of those who would like to limit the freedom I enjoy as an
American. Anonymity is understandable when opposing thugs. Popular
restaurants didn't get popular without having something the public wants to
buy. The pet industry didn't become an industry without filling the need
people have to enjoy what pets offer.

We all know the position of PETA regarding pets; my pets are the greatest
joy in my life. We also know that PETA has been involved in violent
activities to make their point; violence is unacceptable.

Everyone has their own conscience regarding the part animals play in life;
some people are extreme on each end. The point is, freedom means the right
to live your life based upon your personal beliefs, not mine. Organizations
that want to legislate the limitation of my legal choices don't work for me.

My greatest power is to vote for representation who sees it the way I do.
The majority wins. These groups are, in part, intended to influence
conscience, beliefs and votes by becoming the majority.

Sincerely,
Joanne

You are right. But it's a system that allows places like Wyoming to have as
much voice as places like New York. And all laws are subject to change by
legislation. Is anyone working on that?

Very interesting. I still believe in the right to speak out regardless of
what the message is. And if the networks want to sell air time to
advertisers, that's not a bad thing either.
