Does anyone know what the minimum cage size can be for a Severe Macaw? I am thinking about a cage that is34 1/2"wide and 24" deep and 43" tall inside the cage. Is that ok? Is it big enough or too small? Thanks!

Sounds about right to me.

Ensure that the bar spacing is not to big. the side bars should be
horizontal, the front and sides vertical. Always buy the largest cage you
can afford. Stainless steel or iron (powder painted ok) only. Be sure to use
no locks or bolts that contain zinc.

Hope this helps.

The size "needed" depends a lot on how much time the bird will spend in the
cage. If it is going to spend a lot of time out, it does not need to be very
big. If you work all day and the bird is alone, bigger is better, as big as
possible.
