Mamabird

MARCO and CHUCK!!!! Yep, they stopped by for a little while this morning on
their way down south. I got to hug 'em and everything! Boy, it's exciting
to finally SEE and TOUCH someone in person that you've only "seen" in print
for years.... Never in a million years did I ever think I'd get to meet
anyone from RPB.

I got to meet Chilli the Scarlet, Pedro the BCC, Sweetie the TAG, Pete the
Meyers and MoJo the kitty... And they got to meet my little flock too.

It was a fun visit (though much too short) and the guys are as sweet as I
always thought they'd be. Wanna guess what we talked about? BIRDS, what
else! <G>

So, who's next? Well, Laurie keeps sayin' she's coming down so why don't
all of you come with her?!
Anyway, I'm so excited I just had to share. :-)

That's so cool :). I love them also and just knowing they're not nearby
anymore even though I only saw them a couple of times a year, I'm sad...but
I wish them the best of course. So now how far apart will you and they be
living?

I imagine they're 6 to 7 hours away. They did say they like to travel
though, and now that they know where I live.... :)

I was BIG in The X-Files on-line fandom, we had many MANY
gatherings over the years. It's cool to meet a new group and try to
guess who is who, the wierdness being, you KNOW these folks better
than you know some
flesh folk, you just don' know what they look like. I have met the
coolest people I've kown in my LIFE on-line--my boss calls them "my
invisible friends" :) I'm having an X-reunion, combining several
splinter groups, next year, when I turn 50 (I'm going to sky dive:)
I'm thinkng there will be about forty peple here, from about eighteen
states and parts of Canada.

Hey Mama!
It was great to meet you and your birdies and critters. It's really
funny/weird that some people are exactly like you imagined them from
'online', you know what i'm saying.

Slowly but surely things are coming together. The fids are enjoying
the warm weather and go insane screaming when they hear the flocks of
feral quakers in the backyard (there are tons of them here in S.Fla!).

I'm happy we met, Mama... so far Chuck and I have been lucky to have
met some great people online that turn out to be great people in real
life too. And, Owly, we miss you too :).

Yup, I know exactly what you're saying. I felt like I'd known you guys
forever!

Glad to hear it. They seemed to be relaxed and taking the trip in stride
when they were here.
I can't imagine how my birds would react to hearing flocks of Quakers so
close by. Mine never seem to pay much attention to what's going on outside.
Periodically I rearrange cages so they each get a different window view but
I don't think they appreciate it.

And *I'm* happy we met, too! It was such fun to sit in my kitchen and chat
about birds... I'm SO glad you took the time to stop by here. Hopefully
there will be more visits in the future! *Longer* visits! <hint> <G>
