Is our Quaker Parrot regressing (this is weird)? - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page
mike
hi,

we have a quaker parrot that is now about six months old (give or take a
couple of weeks. we got him (or her) at about 3-31/2 months just after it
started cracking seed and was done with hand feeding.

when the green midget menace first arrived he did that little head bobbing
thing young birds do and the behavior gradually disappeared.

within the last three days it has started head bobbing again sometimes when
we (the humans in the house) are eating and other times when we are not. it
is not continual behavior, just a few times a day. it's just weird. he is
eating well, pellets, seed and the occasional millet spray. he's healthy not
at all bored has a lot of time with us and is beginning to say a few words.

any guesses as to why he's doing the "head bob thing" again?

thanks,

mike

Hey mike,
Quakers are known for their crazy 'head bob thing', nothing to do with
regressing or handfeeding... just a quaker being a normal, head-bobbing
fool. :)
