I have had Alex (male B&G Macaw) for almost 4 years now. He was a baby when
I got him.
We had Alex for about 3 months when this event took place.
I worked from home at the time and had a home office. One day I decided to
find out if Alex liked cherries. I was careful to remove the pits as I fed
the cherries to Alex. Well GZZZZ, he loved them! He ate a lot of the
cherries and of course got the juice all over his face.
Skip forward about an hour. I went into my office to do some work. My wife
Ann had come home but I was so busy I didn't hear her entill the scream!
"Honey, hurry up, it's ALEX"!!!!
I raced into the family room almost killing my self in the process.
There stood my darling wife pointing at Alex's face, full of red. It looked
like blood. Like someone had beat the hell out of him!
I laughed so hard I cried and my tummy and jaw hurt for a week!
Just had to share :)

LOL, I can relate. Once after eating some strawberries from the garden, the
birds foot had juice all over it. I, at first look, thought he had does
something to the foot, and of course because I acted too fast he did NOT
want to let me see it. When I realized what it was I had a good laugh.
