Hello,
A year ago, my 14yo Male MToo, acquired a little lung infection
(suspected) he started chewing at his chest and drew blood. After four
months with a collar and antibiotics topical and internal, he seemed fine
until just yesterday (eight months later), I noticed him preening rather
aggressively around the same area... as he has finished two massive molts
since the initial incident and there is no apparent ingrown feather, I am
assuming it is not new feather irritation, the area seems devoid of critters
like mites, fleas and such. We have increased the number of shower times,
to soften up the skin, and hopefully alleviate any additional irritation.
I would appreciate any further direction you might consider valuable, he
has been a well dispositioned Too for the past ten years, lots of activity,
lots of toys, lots of interaction (he loves everyone and they love him), so
I am hoping this is not a neurotic/behavioural issue.
Thanks for any additional information/ideas you might want me to
consider
