I'm sorry about your finches. The only way you'll know for sure what
happened is to have a necropsy done; speak with your avian vet. Also,
were you using teflon in the house or an air cleaner?

We use teflon, in another oom. We never use air cleaner.
I will take them into a vet.

Is it possible this was a 'canary in a coal mine'? Carbon Monoxide
poisoning?

How old is your oven? Does it have any PTFE? If not, once you finish the
*INITIAL* self-clean cycle, the factory oils are history.
