| HELP!--Can I save baby birds in Mass. - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page |

I just found two baby birds that fell out of the next, two of their siblings
were already dead. These two are still alive but seemingly barely. They just
snuggle and breathe hard. They are not crying out or opening their beaks.
What can I do? Can I save them? I tried feeding them with a syringe but they
don't seem to even want that. Their eyes are still closed, they seem to be
very young. I have no idea what species it is. I live near Boston, MA. Is
there a place I can call for advice?
thanks

Find a wildlife rehabber in your area.
The thing you can do, if the bird is young and not feathered is to keep
it warm (90oF) until you get it to the rehabber. Warm is more important
than food, if they are not begging for it.
