My rats eat a pretty good diet... rat blocks, lots of fresh fruit &
veggies. Once in awhile I like to give them a treat. The other day we
finished a jar of peanut butter. I scraped out as much as I could and put
the nearly clean jar in Portia and Cressida's cage. They were delighted!
The jar itself would have been fun for them (think log rollers!), then the
peanut butter treat topped it off. Since we only eat about 1 jar of PB
every 6 months, they'll have to wait some time for their next treat, but I'm
sure they'll think it's worth it.
