Hello
I wondered if any of you could help me please I have a Senegal who is five
months old it is my first bird ...so help....
He keeps flying round the heads of my sister-in-law's two african Grey
parrots and trying to bite their heads.....told him NO and taken him from
there cage(they sit on top of cage on perch very nicely no bother)he then
harasses them .Is this him trying to be boss over them or what?He is very
affectionate and does repond very well to his name and only a baby still
but would like to stop this if poss and make him get on with the other
birds....by the way my sister-in-law is mum of SAMMY cockatiel with foot
problem .....
thanks for info
Julie

Owly
I have a Meyer's who loved to fly to my lovebird flight cage and try to get
at them through the bars. Of course, in the end he's the one who would
probably have ended up worse for the wear (paybacks, don'tcha know!) but I
do insist upon manners, and that isn't allowed. When he does that, he gets
put back into his cage and loses his freedom for a while. With a dozen
flighted birds, our home would be chaos if they all did whatever they want
to do. Now he buzzes the lovebird flight on occasion but rarely lands on
it, and if he does, he has his foot up by the time I get to him because he
knows I'm going to put him back into his cage when that happens - lol.

(BTW, going into the cage is always accompanied by a Bigger Birdie BiteŠ
treat, except when they go back after a deliberate infraction; and they only
are put back in their cages if they do something that I consider major, such
as going after another bird or a person. Minor stuff happens and gets
ignored.)
