Ideal temperature range? - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page

Just curious, what is the ideal temperature range to maintain inside the
home for the little fuzzies? With their relatively thin coats, I suspect
they don't tolerate cold temps very well. thx - CW

Actually, ferrets are cold weather animals. Anything above 80 degrees (F)
is not good for our little companions....they heat stroke very easily. I
don't recommend leaving them in the cold when it is 0 out, but as long as
they have a nice dry, protected area to burrow into, (nest box, small
opening, filled with nice clean, soft towels/clothes/fabric/straw/hay, etc.)
they will tolerate very cold temps quite easily.
