Ok so I became Gpa to a ferret now and this is going to be fun. The little
guy is shy of everything yet loves to snoop. Reluctant to be captivated by
loving hands for more than a moment, he claws to get down and hobble along
to explore. He does this backwards shuffle when I'm standing in front of
him, or approach him, like he is playful but cautious He arrived with a
bag of no brand cat food, which he consumed reguarly with fresh water. When
that ran out I bought some nicer kibble mix (he doesn't like ferret food!)
that had liver and tuna and that I thought would be benificial. He likes it
and his coat is changing (normal for winter in Great Lakes USA area?)
It's getting cold here now and will freeze soon outside, so I talked Ma into
letting him stay downstairs where I let him out of his big cage to play
everynight. He goes back into it all the time for his litter box, food and
water bottle are there. I close it so he don't run around by the furnace,
and we keep it warm there too, is real nice with carpet and paneling and
furniture (like he cares about that!) In fact I am there now and it is right
comfort-able!
So now that he's kin and all the world to me does he need shots or special
looking after? I'm thinking of trimming his nails if the little pooper
would sit still!
He's minky stinky and a handful, but I sure love 'em.
