I have a one year old male toy poodle. He coughs several times a day and has since he was about 6 months old. Each time it lasts about 10 seconds and it sounds as if he has something cought in his throat. The vet thinks that he might be allergic to something however there does not seem to be any one thing that triggers the coughing. He seems to be in good health apart from the coughing, running around in the local park twice a day and eating the dry food that the vet recommended. Has any else had a similar problem with their dog?
